1Mifare® Ultralight/Ultralight C: MIFARE® Ultralight; is the fare media of choice of many system integrators and transit operators. 2Mifare® 1K and 4K Classic: MIFARE®; has become the defacto standard smart card solution for Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) programmes since its introduction in the mid nineties. It allows for faster boarding on buses and higher throughput at subway turnstiles.
3MIFARE® DESFire; is the next generation contactless smart card for transit ticketing offering interoperability with the existing infrastructure. It provides the added security of an embedded microprocessor solutions with higher memory and still offers cost effective and open standard solutions provided by MIFARE® technology.
The SLE5542 has an intelligent 256 bytes with Write Protection and Programmable Security Code (PSC) and with ISO 7816 smart card interface.
The SLE5542 is a standard, low cost memory smartcard. It has a 256x8bit EEprom data memory with 32 x 1bit protection memory. The SLE5542 is a fully compaitble, upgraded version of the SLE4442.
To ensure the future availability of this product type, whilst still ensuring backward compatibility to previous products, it has migrated the data carrier family to the IMEM CMOS technology. IMEM is conceived for security applicaitons and offers unsurpassed physical and electrical protection schemes.
This type of chip is commonly found in retail and loyalty schemes which are used by some well known organisations such as Boots for their Advantage Card programme as it offers a low cost reliable platform.

4The Kona 23s is a static Java application ideal for market entry/SDA products. It is backward compantible with all Kona products and therefore can be used as a stepping stone to DDA/Multi-application products.
